Taji Center First Fruits Solar Pump

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Isaiah 44:3

First Fruits Ministries has been blessed with the opportunity to sponsor the solar pump for the Wise Water Well at the Taji Center, a Christ-centered Community Center of Living the Faith Ministry in Kenya. The First Fruits Solar Pump saves women countless hours of grueling work fetching clean water for their families. We are honored to help ease our African sisters’ workload in such a meaningful way.

From the Founder of Living the Faith Ministry, Pastor Jane Wairegi:

The Taji Center’s ultimate purpose is to heal the lives of women and children in Gatuanyaga Village, Kenya. I grew up in this village where many people die with their dreams because there is no way to realize them. Helping a woman or child unlock their potential by discipleship, mentoring and empowerment breaks the cycle and gives hope in Christ.

The Wise Water Well, equipped with the First Fruits Solar Pump is a blessing beyond measure to our village. It provides clean water to over 500 families. The solar pump has made it so easy for the women and children to fill their containers with clean water. All they have to do is to step on the peddle lightly and clean water fills their containers within a minute.

Clean water is life. Women in Kenya worry contantly about their daily supply of clean water and this has changed their lives. God bless First Fruits Ministries for your support.

About Taji Center:

Located in the heart of Gatuanyaga, Kenya, the Taji Center is an outreach mission for both children and adults. The community is afflicted with poverty, which leads to high dropout rates, substance abuse, high rates of single motherhood, hopelessness and despair. The children are vulnerable to gang indoctrination and exploitation. The area has five schools with a combined total of more than 2,000 children.

The Center houses a multitude of resources for the community. There's an athletic complex consisting of a soccer field, volleyball court and changing rooms. In addition to administrative offices, there's also a multipurpose building for spiritual training, prayer, tutoring, education, recovery groups, parenting, hygiene and life skill classes, mentoring, women’s small business development and medical outreach. Surrounded by a perimeter wall, Taji Center also provides the Immanuel Gardens, a place of prayer and peace with an outdoor worship area, a playground for the smaller children and free clean water for the community.
