Mission Statement

First Fruits Ministries was formed to provide work for women struggling with homelessness, addictions, poverty and abuse. We show the love of Jesus to the forgotten and marginalized by giving support to women in need who are overcoming family break ups or experiencing financial hardships. Our goal is to give a helping hand to women facing tough times with educational and work opportunities, teaching life and job skills, and providing affordable cars.

We stay focused on women because we believe the need is great. We stay focused on Christ because He is the Hope and the reason we do what we do. Our prayer is that His Light shines brightly through us so that the women we touch are touched by Him. May our service bring them to Him. To God give the Glory. Please join us.

We live in a blessed land. Many of us live in abundance even if we aren’t aware of it. Our standard of living far surpasses most of the world. Yet, almost half our population is working poor or living under the poverty line. Most are women. As followers of Christ, we take hold of the call to help those less fortunate.

“What good is it, my brethren, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such a faith save them? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says; 'Go in peace, keep warm and well fed' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead.”

James 2:14-17

In our cumulative years of ministry, we have noticed that impoverished working women are often overlooked by ministries and they lack the resources and support needed to overcome their limited incomes. We pray to help fill that gap.

In times of crisis women in need may be lured by unscrupulous lenders into high interest loans that sap them even more. As a result, they don’t make enough money to pay their bills and their credit ratings suffer. As the cycle intensifies, they don’t qualify for decent housing with good landlords and they end up with very high interest loans and payments for reliable transportation. They continue to dig deeper holes of debt and despair as they attempt to manage unmanageable situations.

Please join us as we strive to help lift women out of difficult situations through jobs, reliable cars, affordable housing and training.
